100 Years Gone. Yours To Plant Again.
For over a century, the American Chestnut has been absent from its 25-state native range.
Now, a select group of landowners like you will help lead its return from functional extinction.
We are inviting a select group of landowners like you to help us restore the great American chestnut.
The Darling 54 — the only blight-tolerant American chestnut, developed by scientists at SUNY ESF and produced by SilvaBio — has earned a preliminary, favorable USDA-APHIS recommendation for deregulation, marking a pivotal step toward restoring this keystone species.
A limited quantity of blight-tolerant seedlings are growing in our greenhouse now, and will soon be ready for distribution and planting. We are now extending an invitation to a select group of landowners to join us in this landmark event.
As a Founder’s Circle member you could be among the first to plant it again — and part of the first coordinated effort to advance development and bring a tree back from functional extinction.
Joining the Founder’s Circle involves a significant financial commitment to purchase at least 300 trees and to share growth and performance data to advance restoration research.
Submit your details to arrange a private conversation with our team and secure your place among the first to plant.
